Reparations In South Sudan
I approached the design of this publication with a focus on clarity, dignity, and calm structure, knowing the report’s subject matter, South Sudan’s long struggle with conflict, victimisation, and the complex path toward reparations, carries enormous emotional weight. I rebuilt the layout to guide readers through its analysis of harms suffered, traditional compensation practices, and the challenges of establishing a national reparations programme.
My aim was to create a visual rhythm that supports comprehension without overwhelming the narrative. By balancing typography, spacing, and a restrained visual language, I shaped a document that feels accessible, authoritative, and respectful of the communities and experiences at its core.
