May Day Stages Rally
Working with Enniskillen Motor Club since 2014 has allowed me to build a deep understanding of the club’s heritage, professionalism, and the unique energy surrounding its events. That long‑standing collaboration shaped the design approach behind the 2024, 2023, and 2022 May Day Stages Rally booklets, each one refining how information and visual storytelling come together.
In 2024, the booklet represented the most developed expression of this ongoing partnership. The design placed the excitement of the rally at the forefront while maintaining a precise, intuitive structure for stage maps, schedules, seeded entries, safety guidance, and sponsor content. The visual identity felt cohesive and confident, reflecting both the club’s motorsport legacy and the expectations of a modern live event.
Looking back to 2023, the focus was on strengthening clarity and flow. The layout was refined to make essential information even easier for competitors and spectators to navigate, while sponsor features were integrated more seamlessly into the overall rhythm of the publication. The visual style continued to evolve, echoing the club’s commitment to professionalism and its long‑established motorsport culture.
The 2022 booklet laid the groundwork for this progression. It centred on building a clear, accessible structure that organised stage maps, schedules, seeded entries, and safety notes in a way that felt natural for readers. Sponsor material was incorporated carefully to support the design without overwhelming key details, and the visual identity began to take on the consistency that would define later editions.
