The Ardhowen Programme of Events

The Ardhowen stands as a vibrant hub of culture and creativity in County Fermanagh, celebrated for its eclectic programme of theatre, music, comedy, workshops, and family entertainment. Set against a picturesque lakeside backdrop and driven by a deep commitment to nurturing artistic expression, it remains a cornerstone of cultural life in Northern Ireland. Across multiple seasons, I had the opportunity to support this mission by designing and producing a series of 30‑page event programmes that captured the spirit of each new chapter in the venue’s calendar.

For the Summer 2025 season, I developed a bright and engaging layout that reflected the warmth and energy of the months ahead. Working closely with the Ardhowen team, I shaped a programme that balanced visual appeal with clarity, ensuring audiences could easily navigate the diverse range of events on offer. From initial concept to final print, the focus was on creating a publication that felt lively, welcoming, and true to the season’s character.

That collaborative approach continued into Autumn 2025, where the design shifted to reflect the richness and momentum of the new season. I crafted a clean, cohesive layout that conveyed the vibrancy of the programme while maintaining a strong emphasis on readability and structure. The result was a publication that not only showcased the breadth of performances and workshops but also supported the venue’s ongoing commitment to accessibility and audience engagement.

By Spring 2026, the design evolved once again to capture the fresh energy of the season. Working from concept through to print production, I created a layout that felt crisp, contemporary, and inviting. The aim was to highlight the dynamic mix of events while ensuring the programme remained intuitive and easy to navigate. Through careful attention to typography, pacing, and visual hierarchy, the final publication brought the season’s offerings to life in a way that was both practical and visually compelling.
