From Truth to Repair: Implementing Truth Commissions' Recommendations On Reparations
I designed this publication with a focus on clarity, dignity, and accessibility, shaping each page to support the report’s examination of how truth commissions move societies from acknowledgement to meaningful reparations. Working with dense legal, historical, and comparative research, I created a layout that guides readers through complex discussions on victims’ rights, state responsibility, and the practical challenges of implementing reparation programmes.
My design approach emphasises calm structure, generous spacing, and a visual rhythm that allows the material’s emotional and political weight to be absorbed without overwhelm. The result is a publication that honours the subject matter while making its insights approachable, coherent, and human-centred.
