In designing It Takes All Kinds, I focused on creating a visual narrative that mirrors the book’s exploration of neurodiversity and the beautiful complexity of the human mind. The cover utilizes a vibrant, interlocking color palette to represent the “tapestry of thought,” while the clean, accessible typography ensures clarity for all readers. Inside, the content delves into the lived experiences of neurodivergent individuals, challenging societal norms and celebrating unique cognitive styles.
I balanced structured layouts with fluid graphic elements to echo the book’s message: that there is no “standard” brain. My design serves as a welcoming gateway into these essential stories, blending empathy with a modern, professional aesthetic that honors every individual’s distinct mental landscape.
