Positive Ageing Month
Across the 2023, 2024 and 2025 editions of Positive Ageing Month, I worked with Fermanagh and Omagh District Council to design a series of publications that celebrate older people and showcase the rich programme of community events taking place throughout the district. Each year offered an opportunity to refine and evolve a visual approach that remained warm, accessible and community‑centred, while ensuring the booklet continued to communicate clearly and confidently to a diverse readership.
My work across the three editions focused on creating structured, intuitive layouts supported by thoughtful typography, colour and spacing to enhance clarity and ease of navigation. From shaping the overall visual identity to refining the flow of content, I aimed to produce publications that felt welcoming and engaging, while maintaining the professionalism expected of a public‑facing initiative.
Collaboration with Council teams and partner organisations played a central role throughout the process. Together, we developed design styles that balanced consistency with subtle year‑on‑year improvements, always supporting the campaign’s emphasis on wellbeing, connection and active ageing.
The resulting booklets reflect a considered, people‑focused design approach, one that champions older residents, highlights the breadth of local activities, and demonstrates my commitment to delivering meaningful, accessible design for community initiatives.
