Abaana News
I create the designs for ABAANA Ministrie's Abaana News Magazine, and over the past series of publications I’ve had the privilege of shaping their newsletters into warm, engaging, and visually cohesive reflections of the charity’s work in Uganda. Across Issues 32 through 41, each edition has carried powerful stories, photography, and updates from the communities ABAANA serves, and my role has been to bring these elements together in a way that strengthens the organisation’s connection with its supporters.
Working closely with the ABAANA team, I’ve developed layouts that balance strong imagery with accessible typography, ensuring every page communicates clarity, hope, and human impact. Whether designing a 16‑page issue filled with school‑building updates and sponsorship stories or crafting a booklet centred on transformation and community resilience, I’ve focused on creating a visual hierarchy that guides readers naturally through each narrative. Consistency in brand identity has been key, but so too has the ability to let each story breathe — allowing the photography, testimonies, and project updates to shine.
Across these editions, my aim has remained the same: to create publications that feel vibrant, readable, and true to ABAANA’s mission. By combining compelling imagery with structured, thoughtful design, each newsletter becomes more than an update — it becomes a bridge between supporters and the lives being changed in Uganda. This ongoing work has strengthened my editorial design practice and deepened my commitment to meaningful, purpose‑driven visual communication.
