New Life For Old Streets
In my design work for New Life for Old Streets, I embraced the opportunity to celebrate the “heritage-led regeneration” of Derry’s historic core. My creative approach focused on being “professional, patient, and creative” to visually tell the story of a city breathing new life into its ancient fabric. The book explores the transformational impact of the Walled City Partnership’s initiatives, highlighting how sensitive restoration of historic buildings creates a renewed “sense of place”.
Through a combination of research and narratives from owners and architects, the content documents the journey of streets like Shipquay and Waterloo. My goal was to provide a “creative flair” that honours both the city’s monastic origins and its industrial future.
